Have you had Splash partridge before? I'd be really curioust to see what that looks like.

I havent. I never had a blue partridge rooster I liked well enough to breed. I'd almost lost the blue partridge in my flock after all my effort years ago to breed it in. Got 3 last year. One was an ok rooster. I'm hoping for a better one from this hatch.

They should just be lighter than the blue partridge for the hens. I don't think they will be super noticeable. The roosters have enough black that I should see it there.

I've been told splash partridge may be similar to Calico splash (or you can work toward that colour using it). I've been wanting to find out if that's accurate, but I'm having such a hard time getting partridge/blue partridge silkies (my partridge hen died :().

I actually had made my own over a few generations. Bred a blue hen to partridge rooster, then bred the result back to partridge. On the 2nd gen I got a few that were actually the partridge and not muddy. Because I didn't÷ keep the boys from the first breeding, I didn't have to worry about silver. Because they were all good quality silkies I didn't have anything but normal conformation worries other than the color when breeding.

Not like breeding the blue egg gene in which still has some work for me and it's been years.

Currently I've only got a silver blue partridge rooster. I am thinking I may need to breed him to my black hen as I see no point in breeding him to the silver one.

I just hatched some more Silkies to go with my current girl. No good with colours since I have only had whites, buff and a silver partridge in the past, from a mixed colour flock. There are three more similar to the lightest chick plus a white I have to treat as it's stargazing 😞
Edit missed a photo

If and when you get babies from that bunch ... be sure to post pics as they grow. They'll likely be very pretty birds! Personally, I'd like to see what a barnie/silkie cross rooster would look like - I'll bet those would be gorgeous! (But, no thank you, I do NOT need another rooster to test the theory! :D)
Some hatched!
