Silver laced Wyandotte 5 weeks—red flushing?

I have 2 SLW, both 5 weeks old. One has stumped me, I know it’s early but her (?) comb area turns pink or red when she gets excited or active. The reddish makes me nervous she’s a he lol....my other one the same age doesn’t do that. But then it goes back down to a more peachy color when it’s calmer. Is that normal? There has been no waddle growth or comb growth, just the color changes (which has been like this for probably 1-2 weeks). First 2 pics are of the red, next 3 are the same chick some within 30 minutes of the red pics, and one this morning when she was on the calm side. Thanks!!

It's still too early for a sure answer. If I had to guess now, I'd say it's a pullet based on color pattern. Male SL Wyandottes usually get white patches on the shoulders. Best to post again in 2 or 3 weeks.

Thank you! I had a feeling it was a little early! I’ve never had Wyandottes before, only single comb breeds, which by the time 5-6 weeks came around I already had an inkling if they were boys usually lol. I’ll try to be patient! Lol

I know it’s been a long time since you posted this but did your Wyandotte turn out to be a boy or girl? We have one doing the exact same thing (6 weeks old, peachy colored comb when not active, reddish/pink when active or excited) and I wanted to see how it turned out for you
