Simulated Natural Nest Incubation~Experiment #1 So it begins....

Today is day 25 for those- so I cracked them open, never could candle these( the olive eggers)... The BCM are on day 22 had the one hatch last night and think I can hear 2 more so waiting on that batch.. But the ones that got really dark, but day 16 you could see veining.. So hopeful for a couple more.

None yet..two ruined nests and this is the 8th day of the third nest.

I candled my (regularly) incubated eggs, one had a blood ring...so I cracked it open to see what was going on inside.

So, what does that mean? What happened?

It started to develop but then it died. When candling it, there was a lot of liquid movement. I suspect it got scrambled in transit to my house, but it also fell on the ground and bounced after I took it out of the incubator, so I'm not entirely sure that's what happened.

ETA: also, some of the eggs were stored upside down when I got them, so it could have been that. I'm not sure if this is related to that or not. I didn't mark the eggs,I didn't want to over complicate my first time.
