Slowly losing chickens!!

About every 2 to 4 weeks I have an adult chicken start to lose their balance, and walk around like a drunk. The next day they will be down and not able to stand. The next day it will be dead. I have lost 6 or 8 over the last 3 months or so. I gave the last 2 antibiotic injections and it seemed to slow the death down fofr only a day or 2 .Any ideas?? This must be infectious?? Afraid that if I sell eggs or chicks I could infect someone else's flock. Thanks for any suggestions.......stan

Sorry to hear about your loss, have you given them anything in the potatoe family to eat such as potatoe skins or the buds? Avacodos are lethal as the potatoes would be? Also what are you using for bedding?

They get mostly Layena with oatmeal once in a while. They are wormed regularly, and get vitamin supplements twice a month. Housing is sand run with open air.

I don't know what this is. The only thing I can think of is they are getting some form of alcohol in very large doses.
