How do chickens like the snow?

They hate it!

The only way I can get my hens out of the coop is if I bring them a treat to eat. Once they eat it all, right back in the coop they go!

I'm looking forward to it snowing

Can't wait to see a line of chickens standing in the coop doorway looking down at the snow like "AHHHH, ITS GOING TO GET US!

MUM! HELP!"

And I'll be standing at the window going

I always give mine the option to go outside, usually they run out all excited and run back in before im done mucking out 4 horse stalls. Lol

Mine don't like the snow, they want to fly over it instead of walking over it

I think that once they realize that snow is cold and they cant really eat, they want nothing to do with it

They generally don't love it but most will tolerate to an extent. We even have silkies out in it.

My hens decided that they wanted to venture out in the snow. Now they made themselves comfortable on my porch and they wont leave!

My chickens just look out the door stretching making all attempts not to walk out. But they do love to eat it from my boots when I come in. I will sometimes bring in a small pile of snow and let them peck at it.

Unfortunately we have had our fair share of snow this Winter - can't wait for Spring! :yiipchick
