Hello,
It’s snowing outside and my ladies seem to want to be out in the snow. At what point is it too dangerous for them to be out and about in the snow? It’s 27 out.

Do they have areas to get up out of the snow? Not just in the coop but outside like branches, logs or other things in their area?

I don't have a solid answer as to degrees but feather footed birds can become ice/snow laden and need more dry areas.
Yea they do. They also like to go but inside our green house that’s open too and hang in there.

As long as you don't trap them in a situation, they will be fine. If they can chose to go into the coop, or into the green house, or get on a roost, they will be fine.

This is a picture of mine standing in snow at -20 degrees F

They hate change! Every year, when we get the first snow, they look outside like it is an disaster. I make mini hay stacks if I know snow is coming and flip the hay onto of the snow. And they come right out.

That’s what I did! It’s almost like they were like ok..I guess this is fine haha
