So...did any of you catch flack for having chickens?

No flack, really. My grown kids are OK with it. I'm sure a few folks think I'm a bit odd... but then, maybe I am.

Yes. My mother said that chickens are "dirty, nasty, stinky creatures". Funny, b/c my chickens don't smell like anything, and I keep their brooder clean and it doesn't smell like anything either (help they free range so they aren't in it except to sleep lol). My mother in law is also one that thinks that I don't think things through. A lot of my friends on facebook think I'm crazy. My sister in law and nieces all think it's great, though.
