So disappointed in "local" produce!!

I grew up in Ohio and we went to Hartsville every weekend which is an Amish flea market. My Mom bought fresh eggs and any other produce she didn't plant herself. I was so spoiled. I miss those veggies and fruit so much.

I just cant keep a garden, wish I could tho.

Last year one of the places here had a sign advertising watermelons from Hermiston, OR, which are famous for their melons. This was in June, well before the melons were ripe and I had a word with the seller since they were using my great uncles' name on the sign. Well more of threatening to report their deceptive practices. They keep the big melon boxes from previous years and refill them.
