Soft wood savings dried with kiln?

Is it safe for my week old chicks to be on softwood shavings that were dried with kiln? I bought these from Runnings that sold me the chicks. They say they use it. But I don't trust people. I just changed all that out and put fresh in. But when I was looking at the bag I noticed the word kiln.

A kiln is a gigantic drying oven. It's the tool that dried the chips, not an additive. It's fine for bedding.
