I have a lot of quail but this is my first chicken, I think there was an incubator problem which has left me with just one newly hatched Wyandotte.
She is obviously lonely, she is now 6 days old, we had a couple of times of pasty butt and she was back on her haunches for 3 days, but she has straightened up really well.
My problem is I can’t find her any similar aged pulcini locally, and I don’t know how to keep her entertained, she is ‘crying’ all the time, she is ok with food and water (it’s easier to teach baby quail which surprised me cos they are suicidally dumb) I don’t know what I can give her, as young as she is, to play/food/hunt.
She is on commercial chick starter.
Any ideas gratefully received
