It's hard to find a source for Canada geese. Stromberg's Chicks and Game Birds are still selling 3 sizes of Canada geese. Cacklings, a regular size and the big giant ones (about 14 lbs.) I know there are different branches in different species, (sorry!!) but it's easiest to say regular sized and hope no one minds! I've heard Stromberg's is a drop shipper - like efowl. They get orders and they have breeders who have signed up with them. My invoice says the breeder will notify me about the shipping date.
I feel a little more comfortable going through a middle-man. I think Stromberg's would check out the poultry suppliers and I don't think they'd sell bad birds because their business would go under. Just my humble opinion.
I've never used them before ~ I'll let you know. And just now, the Cacklers were put on Limited Supply but the larger birds don't have that tag yet.
