Can anyone help me determine if these two chicks are hen or roo? They are both 8 week old speckled Sussex they were sold to me as pullets but they look rooish to me.. but I have never owned speckled Sussex before so I don't have anything to compare them too. The first one is the absolute sweetest thing ever s/he always jumps up on my arm. Either way is okay Im just curious of everyone else's thoughts.

Personally, they look like hens. But that's just me guess. The rounded feathers are a pretty good sign, but a better one will be when they start laying. I hope you can find it!

I'm afraid those are cockerels. The combs are just too red for pullets. It sounds like the first one might make a friendly flock guardian though!
That is what I was thinking too. I already have 2 rooster so I might have to find a home for a couple of them.
