Speckled Sussex 8 weeks old Hens or Roos

I have 2 Speckled Sussex that were sold to me as Pullets however I have had someone tell me they look like boys, we are not zoned for Roosters so hoping they are both Hens(we know the Lavender is a Roo he has already been rehomed, also sold to us as a pullet so now I question everything)

Thank you! I was so sure they were pullets then the lady that came and got the lavender Roo said that they were boys as they weren’t as broad and the tails feathers have a gap and if they were girls there would be no flap, so I will hold out hope and wait and see.

Tail feathers don’t mean anything at this age. They are girls.
