Speckled Sussex-now you got me questioning myself!-UPDATE pg 2

So, Im usually pretty good at sexing the birds, only been wrong once and it was a rose comb that threw me!

Anyway, now that I have seen another post about a speckled sussex I am questioning myself. This was supposed to be a pullet. But she has quite a bit of comb development. It is my first SS so who knows, maybe they develop fast combs like the orps do???

I appreciate any feedback..... Im still thinking roo.......

Based on my SS I'd say roo. How old is it?

At 12 weeks...I'd say pullet.

12 or 13 weeks now.......I dont see any behavior is either direction yet....

Go to feathersite.com and look under speckled sussex...the roosters have very large wattles. I would think you would be seeing much more than what yours appears to have at this point.

Im still stumped, but appartently according to the feathersite pictures, the pullets have fairly large combs too.

My hens/pullets all have small combs compared to my other breeds.
