Have to admit...as the mom of a 11 yr old daughter... what I like best about your post is that you posted it in the "Predators and Pests" category, not "Me My chickens & family"
Which of course begs the question -
are potential BFs PESTS or PREDATORS??? And how do you tell the difference??
I would argue that they could be classified as either or both!!!
When I got my chickens this past year, I realized that they were merely an extension of the gals that I am responsible for the protection of, not the primary targets...
Pests and predators come in all shapes and sizes. Some wear fur and others wear Nike or Reeboks. Some appear quite harmless and then turn out to be wolves in sheep's clothing. The key lies in discovery, classification and establishment of the threat matrix.
My DH has said the same thing about when our 13 yr old DD brings home a guy in the far, far future (we hope) about not being afraid to go back to prison!
And 4 DD's! You poor, poor man! We have one kid and are well into the gray hair stage already.
Oh well, lots of land and a nice pretty gun cabinet in the living room. Yup, that should do it. My dad should have thought about doing this.........
