Stall dry

Yes I use Stall Dry all the time in the coop under the roosts. Makes it easier for cleaning. I just use a kitty litter scoop to scoop out the poo.

I use this all the time I put it under my roost, and also in the runs even thought they have covered runs, it helps keep the flies down as well.

You don't worry about them eating it?

My coop is so gross from the recent rains and I feel terrible for my little girls sitting in a smelly, wet coop!

If I use stall dry can I still compost the poop? Is it safe?

It is supposed to be ok if they eat it. I use a kitty litter scoop and pick up the poo from the Dry Stall this way. It works great. Keeps smells down as well. Just make sure it is the harmless kind if eaten.
