That is my question :) I have always been concerned about one of my girls not being a girl. Her name is Amelia egghart because she was always trying to fly the coop. But today I heard a startling noise from someone in the flock. I looked over and they were away from the fence. I am assuming something came to close and one gave a warning.....a warning that sounded awfully like a cock saying look out ....

So they are BO about 10 weeks old. See the curl in the tail? I have read rose comb. I don’t know what that is.

Well I also have to say. The noise was so alarming that while I was painting the coop I stood straight up and said what the f was that? Lol kinda funny. Then I went to get my husband.

I would love to bug my one neighbor with a rooster but I can’t. ...:)

Sorry, you’d aid she cries, thought the weird noise was a screech.Sound like you have late maturing male,it’s stull a chance you might have a girl but I doubt it,the hens usually don’t start taking dominant rolls such as crowing and etc till they are a Bit older.
