starving duck help

I will have to check out pekin, I am hooked for how loving he is. He is not leaving the farm, my husband already knows I am attached, just to find him a duck friend..

I looked up pekin, they are all white with yellow bill. This one has a green bill and is light grey feathered on the head and is cream feathered on the body with pearl colors blended on his back feathers.

update- the weight was wrong, he is actually at 4lbs, not sure why my previous reading was wrong. He is now standing on both feet. not sure if there is pain on his one foot that is still slightly swollen.
That's still great progress!! He looks wonderful!! You're doing a great job, so happy he found you... he does look like a Swedish or a Swedish mix... :)

I have him during the day, part time, in my office in a box next to me. I have been doing this as I don't like leaving him alone all day. He sure lets me know when my cat is close by, he hisses like crazy. If I need to leave my office I always close my door. . My cat is just laying close by mainly checking him out. I have been lowering the temps every week trying to adjust him to the outside. We have an extremely cold winter single digit and am waiting this out for him at the time being. Been busy keeping my chickens okay, putting ointment on their combs and wattles, so far okay in the pen. Lucky duck very lucky with a nice warm room every night.

You're doing great... glad he sits with you during the day... don't worry about the hissing, my Peg hisses at our cat when he gets too close to her too, and she's been around him since she was hatched, lol...

I'm curious, what area are you in? Maybe we can find a couple girls nearby for him for company once he's fully recovered... :)

I live in Idaho, on a mountain between Coeur d Alene to the pass towards Montana. I have found out another duck was killed by a car on my neighbors property the same week I found Lucky, I am guessing the mate of mine. I was recently was told there is another duck on its own hanging out in a new housing group recently developed that doesn't allow farm animals. I was thinking of driving around this housing area and asking. My only concern if it is another drake, not sure that would work for me so kind of feel not sure what to do if that is the case.
