I went down and candled my eggs for hatching on the 3rd. I removed 7 Creamette eggs, I have 23 good ones (or was it 22, I forget) and I removed every Toad egg again...sigh

I have 3 of King George's British gals eggs in the incubator, all three look good! Baby specks are coming!

And I found why I might not be getting as good of a hatch as I want. When I moved the trays back to level with the "switch" I went beyond level and had to keep going to get it back, The egg trays I have slide about 3/4 of an inch when the tray gets to 40is degrees the tray slides with a thump! That cannot be good on fragile embryos!

I put some paper towels alongside the trays to stop the sliding. I will be cutting some wood strips to but in there. Hopefully by doing that my toad eggs will hatch...

I'm out of ovations. Again. My day's mission is complete it seems.

Nice Load of Corn Kloppers. It's pretty gleaming in the sun in the Banana Belt down there.

Speaking of Gleaming in the sun:

I looked off my deck to see a sparkly Rooster pacing in front of the Free Range Nest Box. I think one of the Wyandottes has decided that this is a better nest box than the ones provided in the coop and worth the 100 yard trek through 6 inches of snow. I cannot think of a more dedicated baby daddy. Who says chivalry is dead? The Big Tootsie takes his escort job seriously it is plain to see.

Schnauzer ball! I love it, on a good kick the Schnauzer ball can fly 50 feet or more!

I know a lot of people play kickball with an actual ball, but a dog throws a whole new element into the game, they run twist and bite!
