Swing in the run

Repurposed the kids' Ikea hand swing/hangy thing. I wedged a log into the handle portions and hung it above the pop door ramp. They like to jump from the ramp and gently swing. Just put it up yesterday and they got on it within a couple of hours. Chicks are 5 weeks old. I saw the same two chicks on it again today.

Just installed, but haven't seen them on it yet! About 2" in diameter on the right side, about 4" on the left.

Ok. I built the swing. I think it's cool however the chickens are scared to death of it ... I think I have it too high so I might lower it. Right now it is about 2 feet off he ground. Is that too high?

One thing to keep in mind, especially when you first introduce the swing, is that it will swing less wildly if they hop up on it than it will if the have to fly up and land. So if yours are unsure, yeah, I'd lower it at first.

I might try to weight it alittle at first then it will move when they jump up but not wildly.
