Temperature Range

last spring i bought a brower model 846(its an old round metal thing). I found that I wasnt able to see inside very well and to open it to turn the eggs resulted in losing all the heat..so i built a new one, using the parts from the Brower plus I added a fan..my first test run(empty) resulted in a temp range of 97.9 to 102.7..is this acceptable???..

I don't think it is. On my bator with a fan I keep it at 99.3-99.7 & on my still air it's 100.8-101.9. I think your lower temp is to low but the higher temp should give you a very early hatch. JMO.

If its cycling pretty fast then yes it should work. the eggs should stay somewhere in the middle of that.
