Hi, we will be moving shortly. The house we are moving into just had termite bait stations installed. The invoice from the pest company has a note saying "Exterior Applications (baits)- Do not allow grazing of feed, lawn, or sod clippings to livestock after bait applications.". I followed up with them explaining we'd have chickens in our yard, they eat the grass, we eat their eggs, etc, and their response was, "The bait stations in the ground should not have any effect on the chickens. They are in a sealed capsule buried in the ground that they will not be able to get to."

Does anyone let their chickens free range in an area with bait stations, if so have you had any issues? Thanks!

We have bait stations and haven't had any issues with the chickens. Their response is accurate. The only thing sticking out of the ground is the cap that is screwed shut.

Thank you. I was concerned about chemicals leaching into surrounding area and then coming up through the grass. Glad to hear you haven't had any issues.
