The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

Grand total is 22 for me 2 RIR,1 Dom, 2 sex- links, 2 buffs, and 15 EE from 33 lockdown 2/3 hatch!! Not bad for my 3rd try!!

I think even the ones that later died count, right? It's every one that made it out of the shell

I think I read that as well. Hen was too rough on the first out. The other wasn't fully developed but hatched anyways.

Looks like maybe chocolate with partridge pattern. What were the parents?

Orpington and Easter Egger. Or production red and EE. Or who knows in my flock. My roosters are a yellow orpington, a barred rock cross and two EE crosses. Girls are EEs, production reds, BOs, one old lady leghorn and australorp. Plus mixes of all of these. It came from a brown speckled egg.

My total number of eggs hatched is 19 baby chicks.

Ugghh they're​ taking forever!! Lol. I have 15 or 16 hatched and doing good. I'm​ still waiting on the white leghorns to hatch. One hatched this morning and rest have pipped. Hopefully I will have a total hatch by tonight but probably tomorrow lol. It's killing me!!! Most started hatching Friday morning and the rest yesterday it's just these darn White Leghorns holding things up!! Lol

I have 20 so far. I'm afraid I might have shrink wrapped some when I opened the incubator. Incubator two is just getting started with three out so far

Yes, every chick that came out of the shell counts as hatched.  If they died later, they still hatched.
