So I set 7 eggs from my pullets and 6 hatched (surprisingly) as a test run for my new Nurture Right. 3 ISA brown eggs , and what I believe are 4 Black Australorp eggs. One may possibly be from a RIR, but I'm 90% sure all 4 were from my BA. The Rooster is a Black Australorp. I checked wing feathers of the BA chicks and I'm not confident I can tell the difference, but what is noticeable is there wing feathers as viewed in their natural posture. Short story long...pic attached. Two of the chick in question have long feathers like the one on the left, and two look like the one on the right.

I didn't think so either, so I disregarded my wing check, even though there are slight differences. I'll add they are 3 days old today and the picture was taken about 10 minutes before it was posted.
