Pigs can be a lot of work. And a lot of fun. You can't be afraid to get your hands dirty that is for sure.
Been raising Heritage Pigs for almost a decade and still can't say I have seen it all!
You can use this thread to share photos, experiences or questions pertaining to the wonderful world of swine.
I will try to answer questions within my experience and hopefully there will be others who contribute with answers to problems or inquiries of health, behavior, nutrition, housing, emergency etc.
Basically a BACK YARD SWINE forum within the boundaries of the terms and conditions policy of BYC.
So post them pics here. Show off your swine!
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Here we go! I will get the ball rolling.
Weaned off Moma Sow today. (She is made at me)
A beautiful litter of Gloucestershire Old Spot Heritage Piglets. Born June 9th I believe. Worm and b shots today as well. Just in time for the thunderstorm.
Old spot is famous for it's bacon bounty.

Nice little chunky monkeys! The litter was all gilts!
Eating 16% grower grain and wet alfalfa cubes.
Nothing but the best for my babies.

I have a pot belly! Not sure that counts lol!! I raised her from five days old- her name is Jemimah. She only has one ear because she picked a fight with two big dogs and lost :( she loves my goats and lives with them.
