Yeah, his dadddy is a Serama. Mom is some Silkie x frizzle cross. Of the 4 babies, the other 3 have black skin and feathers, plus they're pullets. 2 are fizzled and the flat feather girl is crested.

I also built a quail home for the new babies...
It's just the top (clean) portion. I sat it on the other small pin not thinking about it in the photo. This will go in the shack on the wall, under lights.

I sold the Marans x 55 Flowery pullet. She was awfully pretty and had a birchen pattern coming in, but she was pure Leghorn with being skittish.

The juvenile ducks are doing well and starting to voice sex. So far 1 confirmed female. I'll have to grab some pictures, the Ancona x Runner is beautiful.

I'm tired, got a full belly and in need of rest. Y'all have a good one.

The picts and ducks are awesome

You can sex ducks by the sound they make around 6-7 weeks old. Girls get the traditional "quack" while boys get the "frog in throat" sound. I just call it voice sexing, not sure what is actually called.

I appreciate the concern Ralphie, but I do not consume any fungi I find. I have grown mushrooms in the past for consumption (fun but not with it). Other than that, I just buy what I intend on eating.
