"i don't care at this point" he said "if i have to get in trouble just for trying to do the right thing i don't need or want to be here" he told mason, he was simpathetic because mason was old (how old is he?) but he couldn't go back, not unless there was a VERY good reason

"You werent going to get in trouble" Mason told him. "Heather was warning you to not do it again" he said. He was finally starting to stop panting.

"Not at the moment, but elders get hurt all the time, so stay close" Daisy told her with a wink.

"still, she didn't want me to do something that i often can't control myself and not do. and if i had even acidentally done it again i would be punished so... i just can't" he said and turned around about to run

"Please, Eragon. You should have told Heather that. You need to come back. Golden would want you in her flock. Sage would too" Mason said, tearing up now.

Heather laughed. "Very good. You will be a wonderful addition to the flock"
