the spikes on my hens comb is dark purple

Today I noticed that the tips of my hens combs have a dark purple tinge on them. Their combs are still standing and still bright red. Although I worry about the purple tips... My hens are all eating and drinking..and are still very active lol. Is there something I should be worrying about? Can someone tell me why my hens combs have purple on the spikes?

Best guess would be frostbite. Are you having cold weather? If so, you can apply Vaseline or bag balm to their combs for treatment and also for prevention.

Nope =( it never snows or reaches a cold level thats too extremee =P
