Are these SS roos??? Wow, 8 weeks??? Then I think I don't have any roos. Is it possible that some roos are way, way, way early on developing their combs/etc, or that some are late?

Taken? What happened?

Wow, he is beautiful! He has more colors than my SS.

Sorry! I didn't mean that he was taken......I meant the picture was just taken this month.)

Thank you! he is a sweetie. he also was supposed to be a hen when I ordered my lot. I kept telling my DH that I think we have a rooster when he was 4 months old. The funniest thing is he was the smalliest chick out of the lot and he ate the most and grew the fastest.

your Sissy girl is very pretty and your roos are becoming very handsome. i have a hardtime getting a good picture of my SS hen she is too busy with her head down foraging and being really close to you that it is hard to get a clear picture.

I have the same problem the only way she leaves me is if the boys chase her off, or she's eating. LOL silly sussex.......

Ghostrider...Just thinking about your 8 wk old SS chicks with the 3 roos. If these are roos at 8 wks, then I most definitely have all girls. At almost 13 weeks, mine don't have the combs or waddles that yours have at 8 wks. So, I would come to the conclusion that my "thought to be roo" is actually a dominant female. She fluffs up her feathers and will peck at the others necks and make noises to scare them away from the food when she wants it. When I first put something out for them to eat, they all come running, but then this dominant female will stay in the background and when she is ready to eat, she scares everybody away so she has no competition. The all my other chicks play well with others. lol

Still trying to get used to this forum but who out there has an organic SS roo that they would be willing to part with? If so, how old are they right now?

I think the heat is getting to my birds.......especially my sweet rooster. I went out to refresh their water and he kicked and chased me from the area. do you think the heat will mess with their minds?

I love all the pics of SS I think they are all awesome, I'm waiting for mine to grow a little more 1 very deffinate roo, they are so silly, food- food- gime food...

I loved watching Chick TV when they were very little. I got such a kick out of watching them steal each other's worms or piece of hamburger or egg or anything. I can't figure out how they move sooo fast and can see what is going on when they are moving so fast.
