I'm surprised no one else here has started one of these. OK there are a few related threads, mainly asking how if will affect their animals, but not one specifically for discussion of the event itself. So I thought I'd fill the vacuum and start one.

The same as it does for any other thread, of course. However it doesn't kook to be as popular an event as the media has been making it out to be.

Did you get glasses? Where are you viewing from?

We're in PA and expect to see it around 2:45? Tomorrow.

West coast here. We will be getting 97% eclipse, so almost complete. It will be interesting to see what the birds do. The get let out in the morning at 7, and the eclipse will start to happen at about 9. Much too early in the day for them to think it's night again.

I wonder if they'll go back in...? I think if it's gradual enough, they'll go back in. Did you get the special glasses? 97% is pretty close to complete, I'm not sure what our percentage is, but we're a bit far north of the path, so not complete at all.

We bought some glasses at a PIZZA Place for $3, not kidding.
