They’ve arrived!

My little cuties arrived healthy, active and happy today from Metzer Farms!

I have one Khaki Campbell boy, two KC girls and two Welsh Harlequin girls.

They are currently exploring their brooder and trying to eat everything. It’s a chilly morning and I, the worries momma, wish they would warm up under the heat plate but I know I have to let them do their thing. I showed it to all of them and they have ducked under for a quick warm up once or twice.

The brooder is in the chicken run and the chicks are both intrigued and confused .

Metzer included two grogel cups and a 72hr heat pack in the shipment as well. So far my experience has been extremely positive with them.

How cute are they? I think that since you said they have gone under the lamp they should be fine, and they will go there if needed and probably for napping. Just too much new stuff to explore first.

Oh yes, they’ve really discovered it now and are napping under the brooder plate. It was more a helicopter mom moment than anything else.
