My chicks turned 12 weeks old this past Monday. The weather is heating up a bit. 40s in my area all of next week. Planned to move them outside on Sunday (high of 41). What are your thoughts/suggestions?

Thank youI would’ve put them out at 6 weeks - they’ll be just fine
Of courseThey're more than ready, assuming you have a coop ready for them.
Exciting! What did you get? More Australorps? I reserved a few for March, can't wait!!I'd have had them out weeks ago.

I saw via another thread that you have new chicks but you're right, I thought you said "I've HAD them out for weeks in this one." Either way you do and I'm excited to know it's baby Australorps! Sorry OP for hijacking your thread tho. Thanks! Are you replying to the right thread/post?
In any case, I hatched 14 Australorp/Australorp cross chicks last Sunday: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/my-flock-story-2023.1561640/
