Noticed today one of my hens had a poopy butt. Put her in bath and noticed what looks like clumps of greyish white eggs round base of feathers and mixed in with poop. Put some tea tree oil in the water and removed as much as possible without tearing her skin, then rinsed and treated her house and nest box with DE. Has anyone got a picture so I know i'm treating the right thing and do I need to get something stonger for the treatment?
She shares a coop with one other roo but I have other chickens that do occasionally come into contact with her when free ranging. Am going to try and catch some of them now so I can have a look. Have kept chickens for some years but never come across this before.
