I got 2 eggs from my barred rock pullets today, YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!! They started laying. You would think that it wouldn't be as exciting, I have lots of different ones laying eggs, but it is the first barred rock eggs....

I totally understand.

Every once in a while i turn to my husband and grin really big until he asks me "what?"

And then i tell him, "our chicken lays eggs!"

I can't get over it.
