My daughter's school hatched eggs (it was a cool process, they candled them, etc.). My daughter convinced me to bring 2 home, which will go to my mom's coop/flock once bigger. But I have no idea where they came from, so no clues on breed or gender!
Cutie Pie aka Winston - I thought she was a black Australorp but her breast is coming in speckled. She's had a tail since she was 5 days old. Very sweet, likes to brood and I think female. Larger of the two chicks.

4 weeks (today):
Duckie - I'm worried she is a he. Didn't start getting tail feathers until around 3 weeks old. Started to get a little comb. Very vocal, but much smaller than the other chick. I've thought leghorn, araucana (before tail grew), or Americana.

4 weeks:
Any ideas on what kind of chickens these are? Or gender?
Sincerely,
I'm a Sucker (because my daughter wrote me a persuasive letter and had a long term plan for them)
