toys?

ive read that some people have toys for their chickens. what kind of toys do chickens play with. how do they play

i find that my chickens will "play" with anything food related....like hang a cabbage on a string and let them pick at it....sometimes they will play with parrot toys though....the raffia/paper type ones....where the birds can shred it.

Yep, we hang veg about the run too...they had a football in there a while back which was pecked every now and then and jumped on...plant pots and logs are good for different sized perches etc...my BSL hen's favourite toy is a mirror which we propped up in a corner. She will go and stand in front of it, staring at her reflection until she falls asleep
