Turkey Egg Incubation?

I am getting 6 turkey eggs mailed to me. I jabe my incubator started up, and I should get the eggs mid-next week. This is my first time incubating turkey eggs - they are chocolate heritage, not sure if that matters.

Any tips on hatching shipped eggs?

Any tips on hatching turkey eggs in general?

I do dry incubation with my chicken eggs and have good results, can I dry hatch the turkey eggs?

Anything else I should know? I have 11 red bourbon poults that I bought, then I won these eggs in a raffle. Super excited about adding turkeys!

I appreciate you all sharing your experiences.

I haven't hatched Turkey's before, but I'd assume it's similar to chickens.

You should let them settle before setting them by putting them fat side up in a container that's large enough for turkey eggs (it's usually an egg carton, but I don't know if they'd fit) overnight. Keep in mind that shipped eggs have a generally lower hatch rate than non-shipped eggs.

I don't have any as I've never hatched them, but good luck!

You might be able to, though it depends on your location. The humidity still shouldn't drop too low-if you're in a very dry location, you'll still have to add water.

At 24 days, stop turning them. They should hatch at 28 days.

I hope some more experienced Turkey hatchers can help you!

I wish us all the best of luck for our first times. This is my first time also. I have incubated other species before (2015-2016) and done ok-great depending on what incubator (neither of which I have now) I used and following some tips given in sections here based on the type of species being incubated.
I have two Incubators and two sets of eggs. I stagger set both sets into my farm innovators 4250. The first set of 4 were royal palm I set them on 4/4. On day 10 only two had developed. The second set I had 8 bourbon red set on 4/7. Of those 8, 7 developed but on day 10, 2 of them had blood rings and one was in a more advanced development state when it passed. So now there is 5 bourbons left. About a week or so ago I realized the air cells weren’t big enough yet in the ones that should potentially hatch tomorrow. It was suggested to me to remove most of the water from the incubator and see if that helped. It did not help those that were going into lockdown. But, the ones who still had 14 more days the air cells began to match what it should look like. So I left the humidity be. The two royal palm eggs have been in lock down in a different incubator (which is an off brand my sister in law bought on Amazon, she gifted It to me but, forgot to send the egg turner. So I am using it to hatch.) since Friday.
Now I’ve been getting conflicting advice as far as what the hatch humidity should be. I know for sure you don’t want it to be super high or they will drown. That’s advice driven by tons of research and almost every comment I have read on several posts. In my hatching incubator I had the humidity up to 60 but, was told it was too high for turkey eggs to hatch still. That 35-40% is a better choice for humidity. Today is day 27 for the 2 and so I have yet to see a pip internally or externally. I’m not feeling very good about the outcome but, I still have A couple of days before I guess I should be worried. I have attached some photos for your reference and my bourbon eggs as of today. They should go into lockdown on Wednesday.

Just set my turkey eggs on Thursday, so it is too early for me to know which are developing. (I also set 6 chicken and 3 guinea eggs 🤣).
Looks like both of you get to go first! Let me know how your hatches go ❤️
