Turkey poult sexing by behavior?

I’m sure many of us would be willing to add photos and add future results.

It would be a fun research project, whether proven right or wrong!

I really don’t care who is who overall at the moment, and I am happy to wait and see if I’m right or wrong on my guesses! But I am curious to see your thoughts/ see how it works out

I am still trying to figure out how this forum works... and you (obviously) have a great deal of experience that I (obviously) lack

Yes! Could @Quarterhorses1 please post a thread about how to sex poults? You told me to send you head photos in a PM, but none of my poults will let me pick them up nor hold still for photos

Oh ok, I don’t currently have any poults but do you think it would work if I showed how I look at them with a chicken ? I can try to find pics of mine when younger to help ! I’ll post a threat tonight or tomorrow!

I have poults!
4 a day old, 3 about 10 days old, and 2 about a month old!
Holland whites and Bourbon reds. Several of each variety.
I can take pictures and DM them to you.
You wanted the back of the head, beak angled up of possible, and one from the front, of each bird, if I recall?
Do you also want me to try to catch the legs in the pix?
Idk how successful I will be in the “proper” angles but I can try....

You should. I have no doubt that male and female turkey heads are shaped differently right from the hatch.
