Two pullets: One gray and one black/orange

I've had these two since they were chicks.. Have no clue what breed they are..

One is gray (above)

The other is black and orange.. My daughter calls her "Halloween".. Well b/c she looks like Halloween

First glance, they look mixed breed. Any idea what color eggs they lay?

Where did they come from? A hatchery, or backyard breeder?

The grey bird I can't tell, she doesn't have any one particular breed jumping out at me.

The second bird could either be a black sex link or a mixed breed--the color is common to both.

Grey looks like an EE and the black a black sex link. What color shanks does each have (hard to tell on the pictures)

I'm not sure about the gray one you can't really tell anything besides it is gray with slate legs in that picture. the black one is a black sex link
