So, I've been gone a while, first vacation, covid, holidays, etc. Anyway, I sat some eggs in the incubator trying to hatch some duck after a yote killed my last drake. We sat 11 eggs total. Well, 3 weeks later, I was in the living room watching the fireplace enjoying a cup of tea when I hear the unmistakable sound in the incubator. 3 of the eggs hatched early, we had some "ugly ducklings" in the mix I guess. Nice surprise! We have some chickens that lay eggs the size of our ducks, and they look almost identical. Well, a week later 7 of the 8 remaining duck eggs hatched. Not bad for the first time incubating duck eggs!
