I got this little chicken back in december from a local store (i believe they buy from hoovers hatchery). Cannot figure out what the breed is! Also getting mixed on the gender. It was mixed in with a group of calico princess chicks and the lady said she had no idea what it was.

That's a pullet! I also think she is a Prairie Bluebell Egger because after doing some research Hoover's Hatchery's Easter Egger blood lines, all EE's have crests or hair on top of their head, no beards or muffs - with Prairie Bluebell Egger's they have beards and muffs but no crests.
Although some hatcheries Easter Egger's have muffs and beards. Depends on the hatchery and the genes running though their flock(s).

That is a pullet because of the plumage color, but I have no idea what she could be. An Easter Egger, perhaps? It all depends on which egg color she lays.
Curious what you mean by it has to be a pullet because of plumage color? Can males not be that color? Are there any male specific patterns? And is this the only female specific or are there others? And is it the pattern or the color specifically?

Can males not be that color?
No. Males cannot be that color.

Are there any male specific patterns?
Yes, males have a lot of male-specific colors because they tend to look brighter and more showy than the females. An example of one male-specific color trait is that only males can have wing bows that are a different color than the rest of their body. (Ex.: a white rooster with red wing bows.)

And is this the only female specific or are there others?
There are others. I have noticed that female-specific colors can be found in a lot of Easter Eggers, since those color varieties tend to be more popular amongst them.

And is it the pattern or the color specifically?
It is both together. The pattern and the color together make the "color variety."
