now the sleepless night begins.One of mine pipped at bedtime 11 pm and wouldnt come out till 7 am the next morning. It looks good should talk nap and push for a while

How long can they stay in the incubator once hatched? Baby brain got the best of me, and I just realised I only have 1 heatlamp and it's being used for my chicks... DUH

once fully out of the shell completely, they can stay in the incubator until they are fully dry. This let's them rest too after the long hard process of cracking that egg. Then you can move them to a brooder. NO FOOD for 3 days however. Don't even be tempted to give them something.

Ok Thanks Guys. I hope Kmart has heat lamps, because I think that is all that is open now, and tomorrow I work 6am-6pm.... I used to have a ton of them, but when we moved I got rid of a lot! Guess I am off to Kmart
