That looks bad and a vet would be your only answer I am thinking at this stage. Is this right outside her vent if so It's a prolapse which means her insides are hanging outside. My female muscovy duck has had this giant fluid filled sack beside her vent, and has not eaten or drank anything in 5 days. She had 2 eggs in the yard. She can't really walk anymore. She is shaking uncontrollably. It Is not an egg, it is mushy and fluid filled like. I let her sit in warm water twice and I'm not sure what to do. Please help, I feel really bad for her, seems like she's on her last breath.
OMG - that happened to my duck too. I thought she was going to die and I wrote her off. But after about 10 days of it hanging out, I couldn’t stand it anymore and finally took her inside to the kitchen sink and soaked her bottom in warm water for as long as she would allow. I also rubbed bacitracin and neosporin on the part sticking out. DO NOT CRUSH THE EGG. That makes it way worse. I did this treatment three times And it went back in by itself. After that I gave her three doses of antibiotics. She had a 10 day prescription but only tolerated 3 doses. After 2 months she started laying eggs again, Miracle Duck! Don’t give up on her. Do everything you can. The best is warm water and neosporin. Our female duck has a prolapsed vent that appears to have an egg hanging inside of it. Its very gooey and infected looking. Is there anything that can be done or should it be put down?
