My DH and I worked on the run for an hour making sure there was no way the smaller chicks could get out and low and behold... Guess what happened?
It was getting dark and all the chickens were going back in the coop when I notice that Valencia is by the gait and she is scooting in a hole under it and is now OUTSIDE the gate. The other chicks are following her like she is the pied piper... but none others can figure out how to get out. I am in the pen WITH the chicks so if I go to the gate... I am thinking Valencia will run off!
She apparently remembers her night in the wild and is trying to figure out how to get back in with all her might. I walk over there and open the gate inward and she runs in and dashes to the coop.
She is a MESS!!!
