I started my flock this past Spring. I had one of my pullets go broody on me mid-October and two weeks on the job she quit!
So, I bought my first incubator: a Brinsea mini-eco advance, and set seven of my girls' eggs. They're due to hatch Thanksgiving Day and so far, all seven are on track! My coop will only accomodate up to 30 standards so I had to have a small incubator. Good luck with your flock!
