Wandering hen

One of my isa browns,may, will sometimes wander away from the group when out of their run. Also she used to be friendly and I was able to handle her but now she won't allow me to go anywhere near her unless I have food. Would this be caused by stress from our rooster?

It's possible, especially if she is a favorite of his. But I've had them do this when I didn't have a rooster, too.
