Please tell me the math behind this statement. According to my physics classes this goes against all physics.

Called the Mpemba effect. Doesn't happen all the time but it is possible and science can't really explain why.

How about a solar panel hookup, or those simple wind turbines if you get a breeze
?

A car battery, DC to AC converter and an aquarium heater.
I've seen it done. Not for chickens but to keep a fish pond from freezing solid all the way through.
Don't see why you couldn't put the heater in a water bucket and set it on low.

Has anyone ever looked into compost heating ? I don't do deep litter method but , what are the internal temperatures in the bedding in the dead of winter? I've read that people on this site get heating benefits from the bedding. If it gets hot enough what about some kind of heat exchanger hooked up to a dc pump? Just a thought
