Water getting hot in summer

I have not done this, so I don't know the answer, which is why I'm raising the question, can those nipples be properly installed on the cooler with how thick the walls of the cooler are? Just something to think about.
sorry for the late reply, it may be a issue, upon reading i found a company that sells like a adapter that is longer, found them on amazon
MuddyHillFarm cooler adapter. with this adapter it should work

The adapters are working from muddy hill farm. I obtained a small igloo cooler less than a gallon. We used 4 drinker cups. ( my husband got out of control ) We did need to use a small bit of silicone glue to keep it from leaking because it was a round igloo. But it’s working fine. So basically the chickens can have ice in the water to keep it cool when it’s over 104 degrees all summer

Another thing now that we know what the adapters look like ...my husband said he can probably find something similar to use.
