We got our first egg :)))

We got our first egg from one of our chicks. We were so surprised to see it in the nesting box. They are only 17 weeks old (we were told they were 4 weeks when we got them). It's good to know they like the nesting boxes I just bought a bag of grower feed yesterday. I guess I should return it for layer feed. Hubby has my camera. I'll take a pic later. I did weigh it. It's 2.1 ounces. This is our first time raising chicks so this is very exciting for us )

That's a big size egg for a pullet. Yep, maybe time to return the grower for layer. Happy egg collecting.

The egg was big! It ended up being a double-yoker

The big egg was our first. That was the double-yoker. The small was our second. I guess that's more like it for pullets
