Make sure you feed these girls and guys extra protein. Get some fresh eggs and scramble them up for them and some oatmeal. They need good stuff. Try letting one freerange by itself and pen it up by itself and see if it comes down sick again. I am wondering if it is some sort of berry poisioning or something.

feed those chickens a good pumpkin too. I have heard it is a natural wormer and it is GOOD for them too.

Wow..This thread is new to me. That rooster showing up.."stalking" your hens would have given me some concern. Someone said "back to basics" - good stuff. Wow, wow. Couldn't imagine your plight.

Has anything been learned as to the cause? If not, I'm praying for that It does soon.

Oh, I am sorry...I just lost Snowball, my Rhode Island Red!! I have sent her off to UC Davis for a necropsy.
This is my second loss in a week...it is heartbreaking!!

MAXX, you should post the before and after pictures of those chickens in the same thread. OMG what a difference. They went from pale pale pink to rosy red. Nevermind, I will post them for ya!
